But life has its unexpected turns, and ours came when I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. As difficult as it was to accept my reality, one thought consumed me: I wanted to ensure my husband would be taken care of after I was gone.
This may sound unusual, but I began writing a letter titled "Marry My Husband." In it, I described the incredible man he is—his selflessness, his humor, and his unwavering loyalty. I wanted whoever came into his life after me to understand how extraordinary he is and to cherish him as I did.
