The Value of Life

Once there was an old man who loved to teach important lessons. One day, he gave his young grandson an old, dusty coin.

“Take this coin to the nearby market,” the old man said, “and ask its price.”

The boy ran to the market and showed the coin to a fruit seller.

“This coin is insignificant,” said the seller. “i will give you one banana for it.”

Disappointed, the boy returned home and told his grandfather.

“Now, take it to a coin collector,” the old man suggested.

The boy did as he was told. The collector’s eyes widened when he saw the coin.

“This is a rare coin,” he said. “i will give you $1,000 for it.”

Surprised, the boy rushed home to share the news.

“Now, go to the museum,” said the grandfather with a smile.

At the museum, the boy showed the coin to a historian. The historian carefully examined it and exclaimed,

“This coin is priceless! It belongs in our museum and represents a significant piece of history!”

When the boy returned home, the grandfather said,

“Remember this: Life is like that coin. Its value depends on where you choose to be and how you allow yourself to be seen. Choose places and people who recognize your true worth.”

Moral: Surround yourself with those who appreciate your value and never doubt your importance in the right setting.
